James’ putting coach, Iain Ross, challenged James to ‘win’ the new Scotty Cameron Putter he really wanted. Iain gave him a £10 golf shop voucher every time he knocked a point off his putting handicap. He added this to a £130 voucher he had (as a result of exchanging the golf bag he won for the Kerry Cup) and 13 points later, James had earned himself enough to buy the new putter at £260! Well done James and well done to Iain for dangling the carrot!
James quickly overcame his disappointment at the European Championships by representing Branston Juniors on Sunday. James took the anchor leg position for the team and ended up finishing before his team mates with a 5 and 3 victory getting a valuable point for the Branston team which then inspired his team mates to a 4-1 victory over Whittington. Well done James, you’re back in the game!
James traveled up to Scotland yesterday for the opening ceremony of this year’s European Championship.

James’ sponsors, Minos Systems UK, won this month’s Major at Branston, the prestigious Kerry Cup. The A team: Phil Bailey, James Bailey, Antony Plummer and Darren Fisher won with a 12 under par round to win by 4 points. The whole team played well.
James, being team captain, gave the winners’ speech at the presentation and thanked all concerned for a great day.
